Neemach Mata Temple Cleanliness Drive by Stellanova GlobalTech
Udaipur, known for its serenity and spirituality, was the setting for something extraordinary that unfolded on a bright, sunny morning. On the trails of Neemach Mata Temple, a revolution was initiated aimed at delivering a powerful message to everyone. With our hands-on purpose, we got our determined team of Stellanova GlobalTech to call for a cleanliness drive, a movement that reclaimed the sanctity of the site as well. We rolled up our sleeves and said ‘Enough is Enough’. With every plastic bottle and wrapper that we picked, we created a new culture of shared responsibility and devotion towards Mother Nature.
Coming Together for a Bigger Cause
What happens when passion meets purpose? On this World Environment Day 2025, while everyone was in deep sleep, we took our chance to gather at the foot of Neemach Mata Temple. Our mission? To restore the natural beauty and sanctity of Udaipur’s most beloved pilgrimage spot.
We are not simply an IT firm that is focused only on providing our various Digital Marketing Services but also contributes efficiently to our nature where we prosper. This cleanliness drive is not just a well-executed plan but it is a statement where we connect spirituality with sustainability.
Why Neemach Mata?
- Neemach Mata Temple is located 800 meters above sea level and is almost 100 years old.
- Can be reached through ropeway, stairs, or sloped trekking paths.
- High footfall during Diwali, Navratri, and other festivals.
- The ropeway can transport around 400 passengers per hour.
- Offers panoramic views of Udaipur cityscape.
We chose this location to highlight the importance of maintaining cleanliness at frequently visited and sacred natural places.
The Motive Behind This Initiative
The drive was organized from a collective inclination of all the team members of our company towards this initiative. The planning began a few days before the D-Day to ensure all the necessary items were available for this drive to be successful. We weren’t just planning to pick up garbage but also to start a movement that influences all individuals irrespective of age.
The entire team was responsible for various locations of the Temple and was armed completely with masks, gloves, and biodegradable garbage bags.
Creating Awareness for Cleanliness
This initiative helped us reach one of the interactions of the most powerful results with locals and visitors who were surprised and grateful for our initiative. The drive sparked on-the-spot conversations about how to preserve Neemach Mata and other natural areas. We also distributed reusable cloth bags to some trekkers as a token to discourage the use of plastic carry bags.
What We Found
The most common items collected by the team were single-use plastic packets, floral offerings, travel bags, broken glass bottles, and more. Over 3 hours, we collected 40 bags worth of plastic waste from the location which was so much more than we expected. It was an eye-opening number reflecting how much we casually disposed of in a sacred place surrounded by natural beauty.
Recognition
We were delighted and humbled when local newspapers and digital media outlets picked up the story. Articles that appeared in Jai Rajasthan Patrika, Pressnote, Dainik Bhaskar, Udaipur Kiran, Udaipur Mahanagar Times, Lakes Paradise, and Punjab Times boost the message beyond the hill.
The recognition helped validate the effort, but more importantly, it reinforced our belief that community-led actions—no matter how small they seem—can ripple outward to create bigger change.
What’s Next
This is just the beginning. We plan to make the Neemach Mata Clean-Up an annual event, adding tree plantations, and engaging with local school children in future pursuits. We’re also exploring partnerships with NGOs to implement waste insulation bins at key points along the trail. Most supremely, we hope to inspire other neighborhoods, cities, and trail networks to recreate this model and take ownership of their natural heritage.
